G&S Oast Cowl Refurbishment was founded in 2019 by Glynn and Scott. Together, we bring over 30 years of specialist, hands-on experience working on Kent’s iconic oast houses and cowls.
After decades in the industry, we knew it was time to build an independent business that reflected our own values. We wanted to escape the corporate feel of the industry and get back to doing every single job with care, honesty, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Every oast house tells a story, and every cowl has a purpose. We believe these historic landmarks deserve to be looked after by local people who genuinely understand them.
For us, this isn’t just a business. It’s a passion, a craft, and a commitment to protecting the heritage that makes our counties so unique. While our roots are firmly in Kent and Sussex, our reputation for quality has even taken us to restore iconic cowls in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
